- Description:
I designed and implemented a lab set-up using open source software that would allow Kenyan schools to access the internet using simply a cellular modem. The goal was to make communication among schools easy, in order to break stereotypes of different people groups. - Jobs:
- Designed a lab using Ubuntu, and other GNU/Linux software (with a focus on debian)
- Worked with Squid and Apt-cacher-ng software in order to design a server that would save bandwidth, and therefore money, for the schools
- Found and tested new modems with GNU/Linux for deployment
- Designed a simple install that would make production of the process easy
- Set up a website that would allow students in various schools to communicate easily

- Description:
Assisted Prof. John Ross Buschert, the leader of the Solar Panel Collective, analyze the best way to set up a solar panel to heat the water for the Recreation and Fitness Center on campus.
